Low Cost Dog Training Through Community Investment
The Canine Investment & Community (CIC) Program is a Two Dogs Diverged LLC initiative designed to make professional dog training and handler education more financially accessible while encouraging meaningful investment in the communities we share.
CIC allows eligible participants to complete approved community service and earn credit toward qualifying programs offered through Two Dogs Diverged Training and Paradox Dogs.

You invest your time in your community.
We invest in your training and education.
CIC is not a promotional discount. It is an alternative investment pathway that recognizes that financial resources are not the only thing a person can contribute.
CIC provides an investment model where individual time and community contribution offset eligible training and education costs. Please note that while CIC covers many aspects of handler education, it does not currently apply to Crossroads Companion Transport services.

Individual programs may have a lower CIC maximum based on program expenses, professional involvement, materials, or other direct costs. The applicable CIC limit will be disclosed before enrollment.

Service Dog Training
CIC may be applied toward eligible service dog development programs, including foundation development, task training, public-access development, environmental generalization, handler education, and comprehensive Complete Programs.
Reactivity, Phobias & Arousal
CIC may be available for individualized behavior-modification programs when participation is appropriate for the client and program.
Paradox Dogs – Service Dog Handler Community & Education
CIC remains part of our commitment to making service dog handler education financially accessible.
Eligible members may use CIC toward qualifying Paradox Dogs membership and educational costs, subject to the applicable CIC limit.
Community service provides financial credit toward participation.
It does not replace participation in the curriculum.
Completing volunteer hours alone does not create educational status, progression, recognition, or completion within Paradox Dogs.
Skill Labs & Workshops
CIC may also be used toward eligible Two Dogs Diverged Skill Labs, live workshops, and other educational opportunities.
These programs provide a lower-cost way to access focused education while allowing CIC participants to reduce that cost further through community contribution.
CIC Can Be Earned Before Enrollment
You do not have to wait until you can afford a program before beginning to invest toward it.
Participants planning for an eligible Two Dogs Diverged program may complete qualifying community service before enrollment.
This is particularly valuable for larger programs.
Someone pursuing a 30-Lesson or Complete Program may intentionally build CIC credit over time, substantially reducing the financial portion required to enter the program.
Eligible hours must meet current CIC documentation and eligibility requirements at the time they are submitted.
What Does 50% CIC Actually Mean?
A 50% CIC allowance represents a substantial community investment.
For example, a $12,500 program eligible for the full 50% CIC maximum could accept:
$6,250 in CIC credit
At $10 per verified service hour, that represents:
625 Hours of Community Service
CIC is therefore not designed to make large programs inexpensive in exchange for a few volunteer shifts.
It recognizes hundreds of hours of meaningful contribution as a legitimate form of investment.
Community Service Doesn't Have to Look One Way
CIC serves people with different abilities, schedules, transportation access, resources, and life circumstances.
Meaningful community service should reflect that.
Eligible opportunities may include work involving:
Animal Welfare
Shelters, rescues, foster organizations, pet food banks, community animal programs, and other qualifying animal-welfare organizations.
Community Organizations
Nonprofits, community programs, resource organizations, mutual-aid projects, and other approved initiatives.
Disability & Accessibility
Projects supporting accessibility, disability resources, education, community participation, or other qualifying initiatives.
Education & Outreach
Approved educational projects, resource development, community outreach, administrative assistance, or other contributions.
Remote Community Service
Qualifying service does not necessarily need to happen in person. Legitimate remote volunteer opportunities may be accepted when the work provides meaningful benefit to an organization or community.
Accessibility Is Part of CIC
A community-service program serving disabled people cannot define contribution exclusively through physical labor.
Not everyone can stand for several hours.
Not everyone can lift supplies.
Not everyone can drive to a volunteer location.
Not everyone can work around animals or crowds.
Not everyone has predictable energy or availability.
Those limitations do not mean someone has nothing valuable to contribute.
Whenever possible, CIC recognizes meaningful contribution rather than identical participation.
Remote work, administrative support, resource development, education, organization, outreach, and other accessible forms of service may qualify when they meet program requirements.
The question isn't:
“Can you volunteer the same way someone else does?”
It's:
“What can you contribute?”
CIC Scope & Exclusions
CIC Is Program Credit — Not Employment
CIC credit is not wages or compensation for employment with Two Dogs Diverged LLC.
Approved CIC credits:
• Are valued at $10 per verified service hour
• Have no cash value
• Cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash
• Must come from qualifying, verifiable community service
• May only be applied toward eligible Two Dogs Diverged services
• Cannot exceed the applicable program's CIC maximum
• Cannot replace required educational participation
• Are subject to current CIC eligibility and documentation requirements
CIC participants remain responsible for any portion of their program cost not covered by approved CIC credit.
Crossroads Companion Transport Is Not CIC Eligible
CIC cannot be applied toward services provided through Crossroads Companion Transport.
Transportation includes substantial direct operational expenses such as mileage, fuel, professional driving time, vehicle operation, containment, supplies, and other trip-specific costs.
For that reason, companion animal transportation remains separate from the CIC initiative.
Program Integrity
CIC depends on genuine community participation.
Community-service hours must be appropriately documented and verifiable before credit is issued.
Two Dogs Diverged reserves the ability to determine whether an organization, project, activity, or submitted service meets CIC requirements.
Falsified hours, altered documentation, misrepresented service, or other misuse of CIC may result in rejection of submitted hours, cancellation of associated credits, or loss of CIC participation privileges.

CIC is not about reducing the value of professional training.
It recognizes another form of value.
Your Time.
Someone may have the financial resources to pay the full cost of professional training.
Someone else may have less disposable income but the ability to invest 100, 300, or even 600 hours into organizations and communities that need help.
CIC creates room for both.
You invest in your community.
Your community benefits from your contribution.
Two Dogs Diverged recognizes that investment through training and education credit.
And the participant gains greater access to professional support without requiring their community contribution to be treated as financially meaningless.
